About

The show is a retrospective in the Ainsworth Family Gallery plus a global premiere of new work in the Nelson Packer Tank. It follows the development of Murakami's Superflat style, in which fine art, subculture and commercial imagery meet influences from anime to historical Japanese painting.

The gallery developed the exhibition with the artist and describes it as exclusive to Sydney. Members get early access from 7 December 2026, and a flexi ticket allows undated entry.
